PE

The PE and Sports Allocation is funding provided to schools in addition to main school funding.  This funding is provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport.

The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport in school.

2014/15     £9,055

2015/16     £9,088

2016/17     ££8,890

We plan to use Sports Premium to fund the following

  • Employ a specialist teacher of PE 0.6 per week
  • PE development for all children
  • Employ a Football Coach
  • To buy into the Abingdon Partnership

All children receive 2 hours quality PE per week and can take this participation up to 5 hours with extra curricular activities.  85% of children participate in extra curricular activities and we have been awarded our Sainsburys Schools Games Gold Certificate.

During 2015/16 we were very successful in local school league competitions in football, cricket, gymnastics and cross country.
